Kramden Institute is dedicated to advancing digital equity for everyone in North Carolina through our device awards, digital skill programs, and assistance with finding affordable internet. Digital equity is a condition in which all individuals and communities have the information technology capacity needed for full participation in our society, democracy, and economy.
Whether it’s helping a rural patient access telehealth—digital competence increases a patient's odds of using telehealth by over 72%—or preparing workers for a job market where 92% of roles require tech skills, Kramden provides the essential tools to help our communities thrive.
Our Success
- Kramden has awarded more than 70,000 computers across North Carolina.
- 18 North Carolina communities have partnered to deliver Kramden's turn-key digital inclusion program.
- 8,000 individuals have completed Computer Basics training and received a laptop.
- 81% of Computer Basics participants feel confident using a computer after completing the course.

- Up-to-Date Curricula: Developed and continually updated by our in-house Curriculum Specialist to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Hardware for Graduates: We supply the refurbished laptops to be distributed to your participants upon course completion.
- Operational Support: We provide project management tools, pre- and post-class surveys, and hands-on guidance from our Programs Team to ensure your training is a success.
