National Digital Inclusion Week Oct. 3-7

October 3-7, 2022, is National Digital Inclusion Week and October 14 is International E-Waste Day. To take action for both, Kramden is partnering with the North Carolina Technology Association to offer a Digital Drive, an electronic waste recycling event, on Oct. 7, 10-2 pm, at 4000 Westchase Boulevard in Raleigh.

Individuals and businesses are invited to drop off their surplus laptops, desktops, all-in-ones, monitors, cables, peripherals, tablets, and cell phones. No TVs, speakers, printers, copiers, or scanners, please! As always, Kramden will use a DOD-level 3-pass wipe to remove data, refurbish what can be reused and awarded to K-12 students and low income adults, and responsibly recycle the rest.

Thanks to our partners, North Carolina Technology Association (NC TECH), Southern Bank, and CBS17 for promoting the Drive, and to Red Hat for sponsoring a free lunch ticket for the first 100 donors.

Watch Cyndy Yu-Robinson of Kramden Institute and Brooks Bailey of NC TECH talk about this partnership and the Digital Drive on CBS17.
