Program Impact

Train-the-Trainer
Train-the-Trainer is Kramden’s approach to bringing Computer Basics classes to more people in North Carolina. Community Technology Instructors (CTIs) come to Kramden’s location in Durham, where our instructors train them to teach the Computer Basics curriculum. CTIs return to their communities to train others in digital skills. Since 2015, Kramden has partnered with multiple agencies around the state to provide digital literacy training using this model.

NC Tech Award
Every year, NC TECH holds an awards gala to celebrate the achievements of the state’s tech sector. Kramden was honored to receive the 2023 Tech for Good award.

It brings me great joy, as an instructor for the computer training classes, to see the delight from the residents and their families in the learning, exploring, and connecting through their digital learning. The huge smiles when they receive the laptop devices to take home are priceless. THANK YOU to all the folks at Kramden, volunteers, and those who support this valuable community program.
