GEEK-A-THON #15: COMING UP IN OCTOBER!

When:  Friday October 17th - Sunday October 19th, 2008

Where:  Lenovo's New Fulfillment Center in Greensboro

What:  A weekend of refurbishing 200+ computers to benefit the hardworking, underprivleged kids of the Triangle Community.  Sponsored by Lenovo at their brand new fulfillment center.  Food served at all shifts.  Free Geek shirts for volunteers who sign up to work a full shift!  This will be a weekend full of fun!  Join us!

Shifts:

A.)  Friday Oct. 17th from 2 PM - 4 PM (Initial Setup)

B.)  Friday Oct. 17th from 4 PM - 8 PM (Initial Setup)

C.)  Saturday Oct. 18th from 9 AM - 1 PM (Refurbishing Session 1)

D.)  Saturday Oct. 18th from 1 PM - 5 PM (Refurbishing Session 2)

E.)  Sunday Oct. 19th from 9 AM - 1 PM (Refurbishing Session 3)

F.)  Sunday Oct. 19th from 1 PM - 5 PM (Refurbishing Session 4 & Award Day)

G.)  Sunday Oct. 19th from 3 PM - 6 PM (Break Down and Pack Up Crew)

RTP RECYCLE DAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

When:  Wednesday September 24th, 2008 from 7 AM - 6 PM

Where:  Nortel's Gateway Facility in RTP

What:  Park employees bring their old/unwanted electronics/computers and other various items to be recycled.  Kramden volunteers are needed to help us sift through these items as they come in, and pick out the monitors, computers, laptops, keyboards, powercords, and other parts that are needed.  It is a fun day and neat to see all the old electronics come through!  Pizza is served during the lunch shift. 

Shifts:

A.)  7 AM - 10 AM

B.)  10 AM - 12 PM

C.)  12 PM - 3 PM

D.)  3 PM - 6 PM

Saturday Workday:  3rd Saturday of Every Month!

Saturday workdays will be held the 3rd Saturday of every month.  These workdays are dedicated to refurbishing tasks and preparing for upcoming events, such as Geek-A-Thons and Award Days.  Lunch is served during these workdays.  This is a great volunteer opportunity and a chance to come out and be a part of our refurbishing process.  To sign up, send us an email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Wednesday Evening Work Nights - RESUME SEPTEMBER 3RD!

Wednesday evening work nights will resume Wed. September 3rd at our new location:
