Get Involved

Kramden is truly an organization of and for the community. We could not do what we do without the support of volunteers. Looking to get involved? Consider joining us for one of our weekly or monthly opportunities. Volunteers must be 12 years-old or older and must wear closed-toe shoes. Click here for Kramden’s policy regarding court ordered/recommended service.

Volunteer Form – All volunteers must have a volunteer form on file before they can begin at Kramden. Please bring this form with you to your first Kramden event.

E-Blast Registration – Click the link to register for Kramden’s weekly e-blast to stay up-to-date on volunteer opportunities and events (if you submit a Volunteer Form, you won’t need to sign-up for E-Blasts separately).

Mini Geek-A-Thon/Computer Award Day – February 18

What: A day of working together to refurbish PCs for hardworking students in North Carolina that do not have a home computer. We will need all the help we can get at every “Mini Geek-A-Thon” station from cleaning to final test! You do not have to be a “techie” to get involved with the refurbishing. Our amazing Tech Team will be present to ensure you feel comfortable at whatever station you may choose to volunteer.

We will also have a Computer Award Day up front where students and their families will come to Kramden to receive their newly refurbished computers. These students were all nominated by their teachers, principals, and/or school counselors and are considered very hardworking students.

Where: Kramden Headquarters – 4915 Prospectus Dr. (Suite J) Durham, NC 27713

Volunteers 12 years and older are needed for the following shifts:

Shift A: 9 am – 1 pm

Shift B: 1 pm – 5 pm

When: Click here to register using our online form.  Email volunteers@kramden.org if you would like to register a group or have questions regarding the event.
