Kramden Institute has 2 full-time employees and over 2,750 volunteers have supported our efforts. Below, you will find numerous opportunities to put your skills to work for Kramden. We are always looking for volunteers so please check out Kramden's upcoming events for volunteer opportunities.
Technical Work - Led by Kramden's Technical Team, volunteers participate in refurbishing and equipment management. You do not need to be technical to participate in all aspects of refurbishing, but those with technical skills are always needed. Technical work takes place:
- weekly on Wednesday evenings (5-9pm)
- throughout the week, (9 am - 5pm)
- monthly at our Mini Geek-A-Thon/Award Days, (9am-5pm) and

at our Geek-A-Thons® at several venues throughout the year.
Super Geeks with networking and/or several years of computer repair experience are also needed to work on innovation and mentorship! (Weekly or occasional weekend opportunities are available. Education & Outreach - Under the leadership of the Director of Education, volunteers are needed to work with schools to advocate for and identify students who need a working computer in their homes to support their academic success. This includes:
- nurturing relationships with schools
- making follow-up calls to student recipients,

coordinating mentoring opportunities between volunteers and student recipients.
- assisting at In-School Award Days

Grant Support - Under the leadership of the Director of Development, volunteers are needed to research viable funding sources and work collaboratively with the administrative staff to submit grant applications and manage reporting requirements required by successful applications.
Office Support - Volunteers are needed to support the administrative aspects of the Kramden office. This includes managing correspondence, helping with data input, answering phone calls and interacting with volunteers and recipients.
