Did you know...

  • 1 out of 3 children in North Carolina does not have a computer at home.1
  • 7 out of 10 households in North Carolina earning less than $15,000 per year do not own a computer.2

We are proud of the impact Kramden has on both our local and global community.

INSPIRE students to achieve

Studies show that students with computers in their homes are more likely to stay in school and better able to compete with their peers.  Students with computers are better able to complete their assignments, understand questions related to computers and technology, and better able to compete for jobs after they graduate.

ENCOURAGE community resources to impact change

Kramden is founded on the premise that the resources exist in our communities to support bringing technology to the students who need it.  Left untapped, equipment and talent is wasted, but through Kramden's efforts, talented people and salvageable equipment can come together to create a valuable resource for kids in our community.

EDUCATE through technology

Technology is a powerful tool which has shaped our society and our culture.  Without access to technology, students are quickly left behind.  Kramden strives to empower students by introducing them to the power of technology and all that means for a lifetime of education and learning.

RECYCLE environmental waste

The United States generates more e-waste than any other nation, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. More than 4.6 million tons of it entered U.S. landfills in 2000, and it is estimated that number has now grown to close to 20 million tons of waste annually.  By salvaging equipment otherwise bound for landfills and extending its useful life, Kramden reduces waste and reuses valuable equipment.
