Corporate Sponsorship

Our theory is simple: Access to technology enriches the lives of students and helps bridge the digital divide. Kramden Institute's unique mission helps reduce the environmental waste caused by discarded computers AND increases the potential of less-advantaged students in our communities by providing access to technology.
It is likely that your company already recycles your old computer hardware. Why not re-route those computers into the hands of less-fortunate students in your own community?

Kramden Sponsorship Opportunities
Kramden Summer Camps $10,000
This summer, Kramden hopes to help students to bridge the digital divide through hands-on training and mentorship. Students lacking computers in their homes but interested in learning more about computer technology will be invited to participate in a week-long day camp where they will learn how to build and refurbish computers. A second camp is intended to be set up to train our previous recipients to refurbish and repair computers—and possibly help us out at future Geek-a-Thons. We are looking for sponsorship of these camps in order to defray our operational costs and to be able to offer the camps at no cost to the students.
Geek-A-Thon® $15,000
Kramden is best known for our Geek-A-Thons. This three-day event results in the production of approximately 200 refurbished computers. GATs are often paired with Award Days, which put approximately 40 computers in the hands of worthy students and offer a unique opportunity for recipients to meet and work with our Kramden Geeks. The operational costs to prepare for and execute this event are significant. GAT sponsors receive recognition in all of our event publicity and at the event itself. We run approximately 3 GATs a year and are always seeking sponsors to support this unique and wonderful event. Our 3 major Geek-A-Thons will be coupled with our monthly Mini Geek-A-Thons (3rd Saturday of each month). For more information about Geek-AThons®, please click here.
Mini Geek-A-Thons/Award Days $6,000
The third Saturday of every month Kramden hosts 2 sessions of computer refurbishing for volunteers, as well as an Award Day where up to 100 students come to Kramden to receive newly refurbished computers. These days are highly focused and attract many of our seasoned volunteers who help create an environment of mentorship for our less-experienced volunteers. A gift of $6,000 for would help offset our facility, staff and operational costs for our Mini Geek-A-Thon/Award Day events.
Laptop University $20,000
Laptops are a logical next step for Kramden. They are readily available (we have already started to accumulate donations) and they allow portability for students who are going on to college. With an initial investment of just $20,000 we could found the “Kramden Laptop University” and begin to train our volunteers and staff to refurbish these systems to meet the changing needs of students in our community.
Sustainability & Growth Sponsor $50,000
Increase Kramden’s ability to expand to meet the growing needs in our community by becoming a Sustainability & Growth Sponsor. Sponsorship dollars go to recruit and retain permanent staff, purchase equipment and pay for our facility and other operational expenses.
Vision Sponsor $100,000 and up
A Vision Sponsorship can make it possible for Kramden to expand to meet the needs of communities across the nation. Sponsorship dollars go towards identifying communities for expansion and beginning the process of expansion into other communities.
